They will learn to identify and evaluate credible sources, conduct literature reviews, organize research materials, and manage tasks or projects on deadlines. These skills directly connect to both academic and industry standards for historical research and analysis.
Professional Development:Training will be provided by department faculty and the student supervisor. Additional training opportunities may include collaboration with 米博体育 Library staff for archiving and curating materials.
Summary of Job Duties/Responsibilities/Essential Functions:– Create and work within deadlines to complete tasks or special projects
– Conduct literature reviews
– Identify and locate credible resources related to specific historical topics or problems
– Evaluate the credibility of gathered information
– Apply effective historical methodology
– Organize and categorize research materials
Minimum Qualifications:– Enrolled 米博体育 student
– Interest in history, research, or related fields
– Strong written and verbal communication skills
– Federal Work Study Eligibility
Preferred Qualifications:– Previous research experience
– Familiarity with academic databases and library research tools
Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:– Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

– Critical thinking skills
