Job Duration Start date: Academic Year, including an option to start in August if preferred. Working during enrollment breaks is welcome but not expected.
Type of work schedule Flexible within the podcast studio schedule, primarily Monday–Thursday, 8 AM – 2 PM. Business hours 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., including availability on Wednesdays to accommodate visiting Employers

Experiential Learning:Students will learn audio editing techniques, gain experience managing studio equipment, and build technical and creative confidence in a real-world content setting. This job offers practical connections to media arts, music production, communication, and digital storytelling, while also helping develop attention to detail, time management, and professional collaboration.
Professional Development:The student will gain professional experience with podcast recording, mixing, and mastering tools (e.g., Logic Pro X and Apple audio software) and build a public-facing portfolio of produced work. There are opportunities for mentoring, industry-aligned workflows, and voice work to expand on-air skills.
Summary of Job Duties/Responsibilities/Essential Functions:– Operate and maintain podcast equipment and software
– Record, edit, mix, and master podcast episodes
– Troubleshoot technical issues and manage audio file workflows
– Assist with hosting or narration on occasion
– Coordinate with guests and contribute to episode planning
– Work collaboratively to align content with university messaging
Minimum Qualifications:– Currently enrolled student in good academic standing
– Demonstrated interest or experience in audio production
Preferred Qualifications:– Proficiency with DAWs like Logic Pro X
– Experience in public speaking or willingness to develop
– Strong organizational skills and independent work ethic
Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:– High attention to audio detail (e.g., EQ, compression, clarity)
– Familiarity with podcast platforms and publishing
– Ability to adapt voice and communication style to different content types
